A Word from the Publisher

Beginnings can be very exciting. They can also be very challenging. And in my case, beginning again can be totally inspiring.

Although my appointment as publisher for Pauline Books & Media is not my first experience in our publishing house, once again I feel immersed in the intensity that flows from deadlines and schedules. It might be compared to re-energizing. I am persuaded to believe that this “recharging” is due primarily to the enthusiasm of the dedicated sisters and staff. I am truly humbled to have the opportunity to work with such gifted people and awed by the creative energy that permeates the atmosphere here. Everything is intense about their desire to bring you the best from Pauline Books & Media.

Prior to my return to the publishing house, I spent five years in New Orleans working "out in the field," having a more direct contact with our audience through our Books & Media Center located in Metairie. That, too, was an awesome experience that shaped lasting friendships and left memories of persons who live their faith in joy and tranquility, even amid personal loss and suffering. A bit of my heart still calls New Orleans home.

I want to assure you of the heartfelt prayer of every Daughter of St. Paul that God's grace may accompany each book or CD from PBM and that God's love for all people may be communicated through our lives and mission.
