Get to Know Christine Dufresne, APC

I’m Christine Dufresne from New Bedford, Massachusetts. I made my Promise as a Pauline Cooperator in 2014. I was introduced to the Cooperators by Fr. Michael Harrington, a good friend who ran a weekly group called YHope (Young Heralds of Pauline Evangelization). Since some of us in the group were getting less on the young side of young adulthood, Fr. Mike suggested that we look into what I saw as a ‘graduation.’ I am forever grateful he did that.

I have focused on several activities important to me in supporting the mission of Pauline evangelization. I have coordinated the Cooperators blog, serving as the senior editor. I have also helped with the children’s program at local meetings of the Holy Family Institute (HFI), another branch of the Pauline Family. I also host Cinema Divina nights for friends and children on retreats and share the light of the Gospel on social media.

The world around us can be dark and scary, and it’s so important to be rooted in the Light. I admit to being 100% biased that the Pauline Family is the best spiritual family you can imagine! Knowing from my Pauline training that we should never work alone, I feel blessed to have the Paulines as a trusted and loving spiritual home.

Who We Are

The Daughters of St. Paul, a congregation of Catholic women religious, live our vocation in service to God’s people by proclaiming the Gospel through all forms of media. Our profoundly Eucharistic spirituality roots us in Jesus so that no matter what we do—writing, graphic design, radio, video, social media, music, art—we may be a communication of Christ’s love to every person we encounter.

Discern Your Vocation

We regularly host opportunities for vocational discernment, providing a space for young women to learn about religious life and pray about where God is calling them. Get in touch with us to learn about events near you or to speak with a Sister.

Be Part of the Mission

Pauline Cooperators are lay men and women who anchor their lives in the Pauline spirituality and who participate in the Pauline mission, which is the very mission of Christ, the proclamation of the Kingdom of God.
