Get to Know Maria Angela Frayna, APC

My name is Maria Angela Frayna and I live in Evanston, Illinois. I made my Promise as a Pauline Cooperator in November 2018. Through God’s call to be a Pauline Cooperator, I’m motivated to love God in people I come across, and to let others know about the Paulines. One way for me to carry out the Pauline mission as a Cooperator is to humbly share God’s faithful love through everyday encounters with souls who need the message of God’s mercy. I tell people about our Pauline Book and Media Centers and invite them for Pauline retreats and events. In my faith journey, I try to receive our holy sacraments often and pray for souls to come to know our Pauline mission. So what would I share with those who are looking into a “third order” or lay association? “Do not be afraid to say ‘yes’ to God, if you sense that he is asking you to be a Pauline Cooperator. When God calls, God equips.”

Who We Are

The Daughters of St. Paul, a congregation of Catholic women religious, live our vocation in service to God’s people by proclaiming the Gospel through all forms of media. Our profoundly Eucharistic spirituality roots us in Jesus so that no matter what we do—writing, graphic design, radio, video, social media, music, art—we may be a communication of Christ’s love to every person we encounter.

Discern Your Vocation

We regularly host opportunities for vocational discernment, providing a space for young women to learn about religious life and pray about where God is calling them. Get in touch with us to learn about events near you or to speak with a Sister.

Be Part of the Mission

Pauline Cooperators are lay men and women who anchor their lives in the Pauline spirituality and who participate in the Pauline mission, which is the very mission of Christ, the proclamation of the Kingdom of God.
