Get to Know Sandra Hauser, APC

I was born and raised in St Louis, Missouri where I attended Catholic grade school and high school. I became a licensed practical nurse after high school and spent 40 plus years working in the operating room. I participated in nine medical missions to the Philippines. I’ve been married to my husband Al for 34 years and am a mother of three, grandmother of eight. I was volunteering at Pauline Books and Media and hadn’t yet heard of the Pauline Cooperators. One day Mimi, a Pauline Cooperator, said to me, “You’d make a good Cooperator.” She went on to explain what it was and what I’d need to do to become one. That conversation planted the seed. Sister Laura approached me later and invited me. I said yes. After a period of formation, I made my Promise in January 2020. I participate in the ministries at my church as a cantor, Eucharistic minister and lector. I enjoy singing as a hobby. I’m a female vocalist for a Big Band and also sing with a female choral group every spring and Christmas season. I feel so blessed and honored to have joined the Pauline Family as a Cooperator.

Who We Are

The Daughters of St. Paul, a congregation of Catholic women religious, live our vocation in service to God’s people by proclaiming the Gospel through all forms of media. Our profoundly Eucharistic spirituality roots us in Jesus so that no matter what we do—writing, graphic design, radio, video, social media, music, art—we may be a communication of Christ’s love to every person we encounter.

Discern Your Vocation

We regularly host opportunities for vocational discernment, providing a space for young women to learn about religious life and pray about where God is calling them. Get in touch with us to learn about events near you or to speak with a Sister.

Be Part of the Mission

Pauline Cooperators are lay men and women who anchor their lives in the Pauline spirituality and who participate in the Pauline mission, which is the very mission of Christ, the proclamation of the Kingdom of God.
